Coded Notions Design Resources:

In addition to the breadth of skills Coded Notions Design has in house, we have external resources to develop Back-End Systems, Corporate Identities, Marketing and more. Basically, if we can't do it ourselves, we know someone who can. With these resources combined with our in house skills we can design a complete online and offline creative solution for companies just starting out, or companies looking for a refresh of their current Brand.

Coded Notions Design Skills:

Coded Notions Design specializes in creating user friendly and compelling online user experiences. The user experience goes beyond just the way a site looks, or how the navigation is laid out. A well-crafted user experience creates an easy to use, aesthetically pleasing and over all positive interactive environment for your audience. Graphic design, information architecture and user interface design are the three main parts of a user experience. Any one of these parts can determine the success of a web site, but together they are the key to accomplishing the online goals of your company.

In the Fall of 1998, MicronPC was the third largest direct sales computer manufacturer. Working through frog design of Austin, Texas, Coded Notions Design worked with MicronPC to redesign, build and maintain its site of over 2000 pages. This mammoth task involved reworking MicronPC's online store, tech support site, and its sites used for target marketing.

PowerComputing was a Macintosh clone make with a rebel attitude. In late July of 1997 Power Computing started a new advertising campaign based on a grunge look and the slogan "Beat the Machine". PowerComputing needed its web site to match the look and feel, but also be clear enough to be functional. Also most important to Power Computing, it had to be online for MacWorld in August of that year. The redesign had to be created and implemented in less than two weeks.

Emphasis was placed on creating a strong visual connection between the ads and the web site. However, the web site needed to add new elements to the style in the aspects of graphics, interface and animation. Applying the look and feel to a web site took the design to a new level.

Powered Inc. (formerly known as notHarvard.com) is a business to business internet company who coined the term EduCommerce, using free online courses to strengthen brand and brand loyalty, as well as marketing products and services. Coded Notions was involved from day one to help design a framework that would allow Powered to create multiple online learning environments quickly and easily. This job involved creating from scratch the basis for the user experience of all the online universities Powered would create.

his site was done for a division of Dell Computers of Round Rock Texas and in collaboration with the web development company, Stream Studio. This particular division of Dell was looking for an unique look for its intranet site that was both functional and elegant. The site also had to meet with Dell's internal specifications for its intranet sites. Presented here are modified samples of the pages that now reside on Dell's intranet. The names of the divisions and those who work there have all been changed (to protect the innocent).
