Coded Notions Design

My design approach is a traditional one — form follows function. Form follows funtion means putting the needs of your audience or your user ahead of creative self expression. It means designing a solution that is appropriate to the problem. Works of design can be colorful, edgy and innovative, or reserved, structured and conventional, depending on what is appropriate for the project. Approaching projects with this mind set yields successful results specific to my clients' needs.

My pragmatic approach extends itself to the production values of the sites I build. I always take into account ease of use, accessibility and web standards when I develop a web site or web based application. I believe online experiences should be seamless and easy for everyone to use. I know that the web is a complex medium, and to design sites that consistently work, regardless of platform or browser, they must adhere to the standards established by the W3C.
